Requested move[edit]

The result of the proposal was procedural close. This is largely redundant to the ongoing RM at Talk:Duwamish tribe#Requested move. Please comment there. It's good to have formal notification here at the dab talk page, though. --BDD (talk) 17:36, 11 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

– The Duwamish (tribe) title was moved by Kwami on Dec 13 2010 to Duwamish tribe. I thought I remembered this being at plain Duwamish though can't see sign of that on the history of either title. The problem with either "tribe" dab is that this is not a federally-recognized tribe, so that dab is inherently flawed. The two-word Duwamish River title is not a valid candidate for PRIMARYTOPIC for the standalone term "Duwamish", but for sake of argument (and I'm sure someone will show up with the usual...) here are the view stats:

Despite the ongoing claims that items such as "FOO River" are PRIMARYTOPIC candidates, that is not according to guidelines; the only standalone use of Duwmamish that is a PRIMARYTOPIC candidate is Duwamish tribe, whom the river was named for. Skookum1 (talk) 15:25, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
