Switzerland does not have the CASA C-295 yet[edit]

Brazil[edit]

Vietnam?[edit]

I can see Vietnam on this operators map...

Why is Airbus military still mention 85 units and 14 countries... shoould be 94 by now? What is backlog: 2 Egypt, 1 Ghana, 1 Finland?

Vietnam wants to buy Airbus C-295 to anti submarine but now I don't know Vietnam has C-295 , I think we haven't have yet . Another deadly C-295 crash[edit]

An Algerian Air Force C-295 has crashed and burned in southern France and there are reportedly no survivors. The cargo was special banknote paper meant for the Algerian National Bank.

Somehow the competing C-27J Spartan type does not crash this often. Airbus citing human error as a cause for fallen C-295s does sound more and more bogus over time. 87.97.99.196 (talk) 00:14, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Humanitarian Version[edit]

(The WFP runs the United Nations Humanitarian Air Service, which again charters planes from operators to run air services for the humanitarian community. In this case DAC Aviation, which is one of the major operators for the United Nations and the European Union's Echo Flight in Africa.)

Operators - Canada[edit]

Looking for someone to do an edit for me (I'm inexperienced and don't want to mess things up).

The section reads that, "...Comox, British Columbia (418 Search and Rescue Operational Training Squadron)" which is not entirely incorrect but 418 is the training squadron. The principal operating squadron will be 442 Transport and Rescue Squadron.

Since none of the other cities have their squadrons listed, we could just delete 418 and it could just read Comox. However, if we want to indeed keep the squadron up, let's change it to 442.

Specifications[edit]

The specification section lacks a listing of the Aircrafts empty weight. Section list the fact of 6 wing hardpoints present - BUT no information ow types of weapons it is capable of, or weight limit on the pylons. - Would be very nice to have. Design[edit]

There some odd wording in the design section that the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127G engines allow 10,000 uninterrupted flight hours without servicing. The only source I can find for this claim states that SOME PW100 series engines are capable of 10,000 hours without a shop visit. This issue is, a shop visit is not an exhaustive description of all servicing, as it is industry standard that aircraft components are constantly serviced with inspections and component replacements on wing. This is both the industry and vernacular meaning of servicing. Shop visits typically imply overhauls in industry. Stating "uninterrupted flight hours without servicing" implies the engines are able to run continuously for more than a year non-stop without being turned off without an inspection or even oil change (ie, servicing).
