Controversy?[edit]

Most of the 'controversy' is cited from 'attrition.org'...does ANYONE consider that a reliable source? I strongly recommend we either find better sources, or remove the attrition.org items. I'm adding back the controversy section with Ars Technica as a source. I've personally seen the EC Council site defaced more than once. I actually came to wikipedia looking for details on the defacements and found nothing.2602:41:8139:600:0:0:0:33 (talk) 21:53, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The very first statement "The International Council of Electronic Commerce Consultants (EC-Council) is a member-supported professional organization" is simply not true, and the link does not work. In response to the above comment, it seems likely that the article is maintained by the company and is not neutral, since there is absolutely no mention of EC-Counil being embarrassed in their professed field of expertise. It appears like this has been mentioned in the article before, but mysteriously removed. I propose the page should be taken down. This Wikipedia page lends a lot of credibility to EC-Council though nothing else on the web supports it, except other marketing material by EC-Council. This page seems to violate WikiPedia policies. Note this text from the page, which is about yet another council (off-topic) for which it defines the personal ambitions of that council with no reference (original research), and then provides a link to the council (self-promotion): ″IIB Council is dedicated towards developing the world’s first Business Technology and Enterprise Digital Transformation Professional Training and Certification Programs. ...
