That is two sports, one is men's hockey and one is women's hockey. They are variations of the same basic sport but they are two separate sports with their own teams playing in their own leagues. ECAC has two leagues, one women's and one men's. -DJSasso (talk) 19:46, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It's not two different sports, it's one sport played by two genders. I admit I should have written "conference" instead of "league" -- it's a single conference, with one history, one commissioner, one headquarters, and one web site.
