General Comments

Could someone please use this quote to indicate the meaning of "ESET".

Actually, Essential Security Against Evolving Threats is not and never has been the name of the company. That was a former marketing guy’s acronym. ESET is the Slovak word for the Egyptian goddess ISIS, the goddess of protection. Obviously she doesn’t have a perfect track record either.

the quote is from this person:

Randy Abrams
Director of Technical Education
ESET LLC

and it is from this webpage:

This article is a joke!

Rewriting

OK, now I rewrote the article, unfortunately, I had to shorten it to 3 sentences. MarkBA 14:43, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Please provide references to the information stated on the article. It still looks like advertising. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.155.42.150 (talk) 15:17, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Ownership?

The text lists the company as privately owned, but the basics sidebar on the right says public. Can we verify which is correct? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.74.7.12 (talk) 19:57, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

Unacceptable wiki ADVERTISING

More than likely after adding this - the marketing spawn campers will erase it as is there is money potential involved and enirely what is wrong with wiki.

This is the same sort of bs and hoopla that every other non tier 1 malware detector introduced when they arrived on the scene garnering unsuspecting "wanna-knows" hard earned dollars from them. They have no reputation to defend and is all hearsay, based on faux clone sites and disreputable marketeers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.23.36.179 (talk) 14:40, 20 February 2011 (UTC)
