Weasel words[edit]

"eSilicon is considered a pioneer of the fabless ASIC model and is the world's largest fabless ASIC supplier" sourced to an EE times article.

Really?

There were no fabless ASIC suppliers prior to 2000? What about Broadcom.

And ESilicon is the world's largest fabless ASIC supplier? Broadcom's revenue is >$3Billion per year. I think that if ESilicon's was that much, we'd have some sources. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary references and the EE times doesn't even mention the competition like Broadcom.

I agree with Carlos. That EE Times article reads like a press release. If nobody really cares, I'll eventually (if I remember) prune the article down the bare facts. Unfortunately, that will leave us with very little article! I see that this article has already survived one deletion attempt, but perhaps it's about time to put it up for a vote again? Since when is Broadcom a fabless ASIC supplier? Broadcom is a fabless semiconductor company. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.254.56.198 (talk) 02:49, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
