Expansion[edit]

It seems that there is quite a lot written about Eadburh, and that this could easily be expanded to a quite sizable article. Most of it is "context" rather than about her life specifically, but here we go:

  • Her marriage as the cause of Ecgberht's exile, reasons &c.
  • The presumption that ealdorman Worr was her intended victim.
  • Evidence that she was in Italy (Brescia liber vitae)
  • Comparison with Judith, Mercian queens.
  • "Truth-telling Alfred", but what's the point of telling the story?

Would be nice if we could have one FA-class article on an Anglo-Saxon woman. Perhaps this isn't the most promising - Æthelflæd would be much easier, as would Qs Emma and Edith - but GA class should be easy enough. Angus McLellan (Talk) 20:11, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
