School Logos[edit]

Not sure if this needs to be there. If so, why not get logos from all the schools and put them here with this. If not, can someone remove it (or should I?)JByrd 12:26, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It shouldn't be here. See: Template for a U.S. City. I've removed the logos.--Daveswagon 09:31, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Politics[edit]

Peggy Carlson resigned from the Council and was replaced by Shawn Hunter. This should probably be updated. Also, I don't think that the added commentary about other elected officials under this section is really appropriate for this article. For example, Rep. Kline's conservative rating has nothing to do with Eagan. In my opinion, this type of information is best reserved for a wiki page specific to that individual elected official, and should be redacted from the Eagan page. What do other people think? 24.118.231.156 (talk) 20:24, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The section should be updated indeed. Whether to rate or not has been under debate but of recently we have decided that its appropriate to include one rating drawn from approved sources in order to characterize that politician without labeling them or delving into specific examples (which would ensue a heated editing war). It's the fairest way at the moment to allow political views to be somewhat objectively summarized. Though if you'd like to offer a different idea it would be welcome. .:davumaya:. 20:43, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think a brief mention of the member of congress representing a city is appropriate, along with a non-judgmental characterization of his or her political position. So many citizens (and readers here) have no idea who represents them, or perhaps they know a name with no inkling as to his leanings, that I think the encyclopedia provides a useful service to convey a smidgen of information in the city articles. The article cites two sources from different perspectives and they essentially agree, so there's no real dispute about the essence of that statement. My experience has been that politicians' literature always characterizes them as "moderate", whether they are actually conservative, moderate, or liberal, but we shouldn't follow their lead if the groups that rate them fairly say otherwise.--Appraiser (talk) 20:58, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Eagan is also home to the current MN state Attorney General, Lori Swanson. Perhaps this is worth inclusion alongside Pawlenty and Anderson? 71.63.249.33 (talk) 17:54, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Meadowlands Park has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A search for references found only wiki mirrors, fails WP:N and WP:V

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Tesseract School[edit]

I found its URL was http://web.archive.org/web/19990125092303/http://tesseract.pvt.k12.mn.us/ which may be useful if the school gets info about it WhisperToMe (talk) 20:18, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
