Noting some references continue counting of earldom[edit]
Some references do not (re)start counting based on the second creation, and instead continue the counting, such that 8th and 13th Earl are the same. It would be worthwhile capturing that into this article. — billinghurstsDrewth 10:55, 27 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The list of earls needs more sources. Note 4 to Gentleman's Magazine 1784, page 350, is wrong. A reference for the 6th Earl, who died in 1791, could be Gentleman's Magazine 1799 (June), pp. 444-445. SNStuart (talk) 01:16, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
