Politically motivated[edit]

One paragraph in the current page seems to be mostly politically motivated criticism. Delete or change? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.245.76.106 (talk) 00:23, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Moved from page[edit]

This was added to the article by an anonymous editor. I think it belongs in the talk page rather than the article itself:

My grandfather Pearson Freeman the Foreshift Overman at Lambton D Pit (renowned for chastising his workers in german as he spent the war in Stalag 7 and learned to speak the native tounge ) attended the Diaster and for services rendered he was presented with a solid silver cigarette case by the Mangerial Officals and Deputies Staff. I am in posession of the case presented on May 21st 1951 I know nothing of what he did.

Kelly (2013)[edit]

During tidying of the references the message "An automated filter has identified this edit as containing references to one of the following blogging / web host platforms:" popped up. This is in relation to a 1953 image of the aerial ropeway from the pit. Although Wordpress is regarded as unreliable, the image is clear and contains no controversial material. I have therefore decided to keep it notwithstanding the warning. Martin of Sheffield (talk) 14:23, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
