Townships[edit]
I accidentally hit the enter key before finishing my reasons, so here we go:
I deleted the "thirteen townships" because, as far as I can see, the New England usage of "township" is an unorganized area, which usage would correspond to East Hancock, not to pieces thereof. Anyone with a source otherwise? Nyttend (talk) 12:00, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
- All of unorganized/unincorporated Maine is divided into survey townships. Areas that were never really settled do not have township names. East Hancock UT is not a single township but a contiguous area of unincorporated land composed of multiple townships. The 13 townships of the East Hancock UT are:
- T7 SD
- T9 SD
- T10 SD
- T16 MD
- T22 MD
- T28 MD
- T34 MD
- T35 MD
- T39 MD
- T40 MD
- T41 MD
- T3 ND
- T4 ND
