K-V-A-T Food Stores Inc., based in Abingdon, Va., is the largest employer in the Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia region, and employs 11,000 people in 2006 — more than Eastman Chemical Co.'s 7,500." this information is not relevant as it provides neither an internet source or K-V-A-T employment only for Northeast Tennessee (e.g. does K-V-A-T employ 9,000 workers in southwest Virginia and only 1,000 in Northeast Tennessee?) Reads like some of Spam that K-V-A-T sells for the Food City shelves... -- Unsigned comment on 23:23, 28 December 2006 by 67.187.116.211

The Grand Division - possible disparity between TN government information.[edit]

At present, this article lists 33 counties that are included in "East Tennessee". That agrees with the the Tennessee Code at 4-1-202 (and 203) http://www.michie.com/tennessee/lpExt.dll?f=templates&eMail=Y&fn=main-h.htm&cp=tncode/17e0/1819/1857

But I have found that some sources within TN State regard Fentress and Pickett counties as part of East Tennessee, making the total 35. One source of this is http://www.tennesseeanytime.org/maps/, where listings of County Clerks etc. can be viewed.

I don't know if this is an error, or if TN government is considering a review and amendment of the code along these lines. So, for now, I've included this note for future reference. Thyrd (talk) 15:21, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

East Tennessee counties map edit required.[edit]

The map in the article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:East_Tennessee-counties.png includes Sequatchie in the highlighted area, but the county is actually in Middle Tennessee. Also, the corresponding map on the Middle Tennessee article will need an edit to include Sequatchie. I'd edit the images but cannot at present. So, if anybody's interested........ Good point. I'll do that shortly. Bms4880 (talk) 18:15, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
