Renaming[edit]

This outbreak is turning into an outbreak sequence and is expected to continue through at least Wednesday now. Since it goes beyond Easter weekend and based on past precedent, I have suggested a move to Mid-April 2006 Tornado Outbreak Sequence. Any thoughts? CrazyC83 02:19, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well that would be good, but a another good idea is to name it Easter Week 2006 Tornado Outbreak so that it's the week after Easter and during Easter. I can't believe this outbreak is going on longer! I smell a F5 this year. 216.110.254.167 02:49, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Me too! This is really going on long. The word "sequence" needs to be added to the title as well, since these are becoming multiple outbreaks, like with March 9-13. I don't want to have separate articles for events that are related, but I want as much covered as possible. CrazyC83 02:57, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I moved "Easter Week 2006 Tornado Outbreak Sequence" to "Easter Week 2006 tornado outbreak sequence" per naming convention at Wikipedia:WikiProject Severe weather/Tornado. I also fixed the double redirects. --Rosiestep (talk) 19:25, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

April 17[edit]

Were the two tornados in North Carolina reported on April 17part of this outbreak sequence? Should they be included in the article? Chuck Y 13:21, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it would be as it was part of the same system that produced the weekend tornadoes. If there were any tornadoes in the western plains (what is supposed to become a major outbreak today), they would be separate events. CrazyC83 15:11, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
