Change to redirect?[edit]

The purpose of a disambiguation page is to differentiate between topics with the same name, e.g. "Edinburgh railway station". What this page currently is, however, is a list of railway stations in Edinburgh, many of which are small suburban stations which nobody would be likely to search for by that name. Disambiguation pages aren't supposed to be search indexes for related topics; we have Category:Railway stations in Edinburgh for that, or you could potentially have a List of railway stations in Edinburgh article. I propose this title should become a redirect to Edinburgh Waverley railway station, as that station's official name as per National Rail timetables etc. is simply "Edinburgh". Support - most people from outside Edinburgh refer to it as Edinburgh station anyway. The most likely use of Edinburgh railway station is going to be a link to Edinburg Waverley. Davidkinnen (talk) 07:09, 25 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
