Blam (artist) describes a short-lived pseudonym of Edmund Blampied. Its a three-line stub, a merge seems a fairly obvious solution. Jonathan Oldenbuck (talk) 10:53, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The artist Edmund Blampied used the nickname between 1916 and 1939 for much of his work for books including some 100+ book dust jackets, and for all his work for The Bystander magazine (200+ issues from 1922 to 1927), for "Hutchinsons' Magazine" (50+ issues between 1922 to 1926) and for his work for The Sketch between 1934 - 1939. I can list othe monir titles as well inclduing The Windsor Magazine, Men Only, The Queen, The Royal Magazine. I have recorded its use in over 500 books and issues of magazines, so it was not short-lived nor was it uncommon. He used it more commonly than his full name in signing his commercial work. It would be good if it was possible to list him in the illustrator categories as "Edmund Blampied/Blam" or "Edmund Blampied aka Blam". At the moment if you search for the name "Blam" it does not lead the reader to Edmund Blampied, which is the intention of the entry. Ah1954 (talk) 22:27, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
