Uwe Boll

While I can't disagree that Uwe Boll was indirectly responsible for the movie's failing, I don't know if "However, the movie was not well received, as it was directed by Uwe Boll." is NPOV or whatever. Dabizi (talk) 04:16, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:AITDscreenshot.gif

Image:AITDscreenshot.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Article or redirect?

The WP:BRD is breaking down on this article, compounded by edit-warring sockmasters. I will protect this page if there is any more edit-warring about this issue. WP:AFD or WP:RFC would be the proper place to discuss the utility of redirecting/merging/deleting this page. — Scientizzle 15:09, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

Do we need all these citation needed tags?

  • [1] Does anyone believe we need these this? The film section says which actor played the character. It has a citation needed tag. Carnby was played by Christian Slater.[citation needed] Why? Click on the link to the film and read it there. Film articles don't have references to confirm who was in the film. You just assume anyone who doubted it could look at the credits. A lot of things could be confirmed by clicking a link to the main article mentioned. Dream Focus 03:58, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

"Citation needed" tags are not pointless

You can read how useful they are here. --Niemti (talk) 07:18, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

But let's not get sidetracked, the article being unreferenced is only a second issue to the complete lack of independent notablity something like Ada Wong#Reception) and its continued existence only due to the constant reverts of all the directs by the same person who is also reverting several other articles like that.

So it needs to be redirected & protected, if would try to restore it later they would first got first to prove its independent notability, and only then start to verify/source all the existing content. --Niemti (talk) 07:53, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

You should only tag what you sincerely doubt is accurate and needs a citation to prove. You don't have citations for every single sentence in every single article, that just ridiculous. Do you sincerely doubt that the actors listed were in those films? Do we really need a citation to prove this? Dream Focus 11:45, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

"Redirect discussions belong on the article talkpage."

Anyone interested have 1 week to show the proof of independent notability of the character (in the article or here below), in other case I'll redirect it back to the series. --Niemti (talk) 09:33, 19 June 2012 (UTC)

So merge. (shrug) I think there is little/nothing (sourced) in this article to be useful elsewhere anyway. --Niemti (talk) 10:25, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
