Change the tittle or face prosecution Wilkewillies1562 (talk) 07:51, 5 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ignoring the legal threats above but should the article be retitled to Edward J. Jeffries Jr. as that is what his name is? Theroadislong (talk) 12:01, 5 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Changing the tittle to the above suggested would prevent ANY confusion as myself along with others thought this was "Edward Jeffries" an Australian filmmaker but then on visiting wikipidia found its about actually a Mayor "Edward J Jeffries Jr." Correcting the tittle would simply stop any confusion or annoyance which many more will over time keep reporting unless another page is created or tittle corrected. Thank you (talk) for correcting the first statement. The legal threats are not of mine but what Iv been told after making several official complaints that it's wikipidias fault as the pages are owned by them. Simply correcting the first tittle to match the second which lists this person as "Edward J Jeffries Jr." Would resolve this but also its the persons correct name! I have blocked this user as an obvious sock-puppet of ACE1234 (talk · contribs), a.k.a. Red~Adman (talk · contribs). It is advisable not to feed this species! Favonian (talk) 17:18, 5 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Jeffries’ “Unpopularity”[edit]

Article claims Jeffries failed his last reelection dur to unpopularity after the 1943 race riot. “The Color of Law” by Richard Rothstein, page 27, describes how Jeffries used the race riot and white panic to win re-election in 1943. Semantic difference that carries some significance, and the article should be adjusted to reflect. 104.167.156.115 (talk) 04:29, 25 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
