Distinguishing between Efik religion and Efik mythology[edit]

It has become necessary to point out that religion and Mythology are two different topics that should be treated separately.

"Mythology may be defined as a collection of myths, especially one belonging to a particular religious or cultural tradition. On the other hand, Religion is a specific system of belief and/or worship, often involving a code of ethics and philosophy."

This article focuses on the various religious rites of the Efịk which should not be confused with myths. While Efịk mythology may showcase the various mythical places, creatures and seek to explain the personality of deities, Efịk religion focused on the religious approach towards several aspects of Efịk social life. 77 References have been provided in the work and the references are linked to the bibliography which showcase the richness of the work Iamosamudiame (talk) 14:31, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
