Untitled[edit]

This article, as it stands now, is a history of water works in Egypt during the 19th century up to the establishment of the British protectorate in 1882. While the article includes a lot of useful information, it has few footnotes, making it impossible to establish the sources of the article and to check specific facts. Also, the title of the article is misleading. Public works also include roads, bridges, drinking water supply, sanitation, power infrastructure. The article, however, is limited to barrages and canals for irrigation and navigation during a certain period of history. I would thus suggest to rename the article to "History of water infrastructure in modern Egypt" and to complete it with information about the period between 1882 and today.--Mschiffler (talk) 19:47, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your valuable input. I agree with you that the title is somewaht misleading as it only discusses irrigation structures. I have the material I need to expand the period from 1882 but of course I am short on time. I hope I will be able to complete the article in the near future. --MontyofEgypt (talk) 18:49, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you montyofEgypt & Mschiffler, I was going to translate this article into Arabic. I thank God that I've checked Mschiffler's comment before I start it. Thanks All, --Kamal Osama Elgazzar (talk) 14:34, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
