Eikon is Refinitiv’s main open platform, which enables financial professionals to connect and trade, giving each user access to the latest financial news and analysis. Eikon's data set includes over 300,000 contacts and gives users access to Reuters news and REDI, Refinitiv’s execution management system.

The above is copied from marketing material https://www.refinitiv.com/en/products/eikon-trading-software, it doesn't explain what Eikon is and uses unexplained buzzword (open platform) and figures (300,000 contacts). Admittedly, the open aspect of Eikon would be worth describing as it's part of Eikon specifics: it could be a dedicated section. FluidOldness (talk) 19:57, 8 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This article was not created or edited for undisclosed payments[edit]

I am a Refinitiv employee. As far as I know, this article was not created or edited for undisclosed payments. We do not intend to violate any Wikipedia principles and will completely comply with all Wikipedia guidelines. However, can someone please help with removing the banner that says this was created or edited for undisclosed payments? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joshmendrefinitiv (talkcontribs) 16:09, 23 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Josh,

No. Editing a Wikipedia article with a conflict of interest is <not okay.>"Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations", Wikipedia, 2020-03-12, retrieved 2020-03-29</ref>

Hi Kobentori,

Understood and agreed but that did not happen in this case. I did not edit this article and do not know of anyone at Refinitiv who did so or worked with anyone to do so. Perhaps it happened before my time but I cannot attest to that. Could you or another Wikipedia editor assist in removing any of the content in question as well as the warning that it was created for undisclosed payments? That message is outdated at best and slanderous at worst. Thanks, Josh— Preceding unsigned comment added by Joshmendrefinitiv (talkcontribs) 21:38, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Content was added to this article in the past by an editor whose username suggested an affiliation with The Media Image (TMI), whom Refinitiv had hired as part of rebranding efforts. So the addition of the tag was justified and appropriate.
I have now reworded parts of the article to remove promotional-seeming wording. There are no apparent issues remaining, so I have removed the tag. --Joshua Issac (talk) 02:51, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Joshua for the update. That information is useful and appreciate you removing that content. I have set a new policy internally to make sure employees or 3rd parties do not directly edit pages in promotional manner but rather recommend changes via the talk pages going forward. --Joshmendrefinitiv (talk)
