The El Jobean Hotel was owned around 1950 by a Texan (Suicide Simon)No mention of first name.
A circus stunt man Known for the dynamite box stunt. Reference to this can be found in Popular Mechanics March 1950 issue Page 276. There it states that he was the owner of
this 28 room hotel.J-P T

The writer was correct with the information. The El Jobean Hotel was purchased and operated by Suicide Simon and it hosted circus folk for many years, at least as many years as the railroad ran through El Jobean. There are better sources for this information than Popular Mechanics and I've got them. I will put this on my to-do list. Rogueblack (talk) 04:08, 7 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
