5x expanded by Maury Markowitz (talk). Self-nominated at 19:10, 10 May 2022 (UTC).[reply]

  • Nice article - well-written, well-sourced. Fivefold expansion achieved over the past three days. First hook is better but I'm not sure about the use of "gave up trying to sell it" - maybe you could think of something less colloquial? ShahidTalk2me 10:33, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Shshshsh Can I have your opinion on the new ALT0? SL93 (talk) 18:20, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
SL93: Very good. ShahidTalk2me 10:17, 7 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The hook was pulled from the queue by Amakuru per "a single design win" not being properly verified. SL93 (talk) 13:35, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@SL93: yes, thanks and sorry I didn't reply to your message earlier. See [1]... I pulled the item from the queue and it was then simultaneously raised at ERRORS by Fram and then later removed again, so the conversation got lost. Cheers  — Amakuru (talk) 13:39, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Current status? Solution offered at link above followed? Maury Markowitz (talk) 22:29, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Maury Markowitz The status is the same as when I last commented here. SL93 (talk) 23:13, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Which is what? The hook was swapped and then... what? Maury Markowitz (talk) 11:15, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Maury Markowitz The hook was pulled and the nomination was reopened. That's all. SL93 (talk) 14:48, 12 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Got it. So does something have to happen now? Or is it back in the queue already? Maury Markowitz (talk) 12:57, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • 5× expanded, no problems with close paraphrasing or neutrality. Added a few citations and a couple of sentences to make some of the body paragraphs meet verifiability requirements. Also added a public domain image. Prefer ALT1 as more accurate and punchy. DigitalIceAge (talk) 06:41, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Maury Markowitz and DigitalIceAge: ALT1 says, "but led to their disappearance instead?" while the article says, "Electronic Arrays was purchased by NEC the next year." Many companies are purchased and become subsidiaries of the company that bought them. Are there any sources that say that the company ceased operations after its purchase? If so, can this be added to the article, and if not can a modified hook be proposed? Thanks. Z1720 (talk) 17:17, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Z1720: The Computerworld citation states they were merged into a new American NEC subsidiary along with two other of NEC's divisions in 1981. I've expanded the corresponding sentence in the body to mention that. With less than three years of being on life support under NEC before being terminated, I think it's accurate to say they fizzled out. DigitalIceAge (talk) 17:59, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • My concerns are addressed so I will restore the tick. Another prepper will determine if it will be promoted. Z1720 (talk) 18:10, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
