RFC deletion[edit]

The following discussion is an archived record of a request for comment. Please do not modify it. No further edits should be made to this discussion. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
The consensus is that this RFC is an improper way to get an article deleted and suggests the correct way. AlbinoFerret 18:23, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm wondering if this article should be up for deletion. It has all kinds of NPOV issues, notability, poor (or inexistant) referencing, the citations mentioned at the bottom are described on WP as being "tacky", etcetera, etcetera. Other words also spring to mind to describe this "article". --Midas02 (talk) 05:34, 20 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment Summoned by bot. This question is valid, of course, but is not the kind that is ordinarily addressed by an RfC. Why not nominate this article for deletion? Coretheapple (talk) 22:08, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I've tagged the article for writing and sources. On the surface, I have to say that the good general does appear to be sufficiently notable, assuming the claims in the article are true. The article has been around since 2011 I see. Coretheapple (talk) 16:03, 23 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Also summoned by bot. Agree with Coretheapple, this type of discussion shouldn't take place at RfC, if you think a deletion discussion should take place, then nominate it for AfD, where the merits of the article can be debated. From what I see on this page there's a good chance this would get deleted if not improved. It has single source, in a language I can't read, and therefore I cannot say whether the source is reliable or not. All the other "sources" are just links to other Wikipedia articles, we can't use Wikipedia as a source so those are all useless. -War wizard90 (talk) 00:23, 7 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Also bot-summoned. Concur with first two replies, but please do not propose this article for deletion. This is an example of a worthy article that has issues, likely added by a well-meaning contributor whose English is not perfect. The Russian-language article has no issues.
