Age of Fred Trump when Elizabeth Trump & Son founded[edit]

It's not clear how old Fred Trump was when Elizabeth Trump & Son was formally established. This reference (p119) says Elizabeth started developing real estate when Fred was 15 (1920). It says her goal was to have all three children join the family business, but it doesn't say what exactly Fred was doing at that time. This reference says Elizabeth Trump & Son had been formed by the time Fred was 18 (1923). This reference is a newspaper of the day, that announces a date of incorporation in 1927, when Fred was 22. It’s possible that they were doing business as “Elizabeth Trump & Son” before the company was formally incorporated. I've been hoping to find a reference that clarifies the issue, but I haven't found one.--Nowa (talk) 17:01, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've tried to address some of this in an edit. Elizabeth engaged in real estate transactions under her own name in 1918, the year her husband died. She started using "E. Trump & Sons" (plural) by at least 1921, but that does not mean Fred, who was in high school until the summer of 1923, had a role. The extent and timing of his role is still uncertain and may remain so. Almost all of the claims derive from Fred himself, who progressively exaggerated his own precocity. I cited a couple sources that cast doubt on his chronology. Unendin (talk) 04:45, 14 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Homesick[edit]

The article on her husband states that they returned to Germany because she was extremely "homesick". Although that is somewhat ambiguous (missed her friends? missed her family? or just couldn't adjust to NYC life?) it is probably better to add that rather than just claiming that Fred "took" her back.Abitslow (talk) 20:37, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Great point. Feel free to add it to the article.--Nowa (talk) 23:28, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Died-living stingy old woman[edit]

Even in her 70s she would collect coins from the laundromats in Trump buildings.[1] - and she died in 1966 ? How the hell is it possible ? --Plaqueminier (talk) 12:19, 11 November 2016 (UTC), translating in WP french[reply]

additional photos of hers?[edit]

Are there any photos of hers after WW2, maybe some with her grandchild Donald?--A11w1ss3nd (talk) 15:37, 8 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
