History removed due to lack of citations[edit]

There were two long para about Dick Ellis being the origin of the name, suggesting the information came from the Cairns Historical Museum. Unfortunately I cannot find anything that confirms this story, other than in Trove whic confirms there was a Dick Ellis who suffered an accident to his hand [http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article41497392]. There is no mention of either Ellis Beach nor Dick Ellis on the website of the Cairns Historical Museum. Google searches failed etc. If you can find a source, please re-instate the contents with citation. Kerry (talk) 07:55, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
