Middle East[edit]

I removed the section named Middle East and moved the countries listed under the heading to the respective continents. Middle East is not a continent. xommana

Norway[edit]

Available in Norway are: Norlevo and Postinor (consulted with pharmacy recently). Sorry, I don't know any formatting rules, but I have this info for someone else to add as appropriate.

New Discussion[edit]

A discussion has been started at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Countries/Lists of countries which could affect the inclusion criteria and title of this and other lists of countries. Editors are invited to participate. Pfainuk talk 13:37, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Turkey[edit]

Turkey is a European country according to WHO. 81.213.53.242 (talk) 13:53, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Denmark? Germany?[edit]

Denmark and Germany allow the emergency contraceptive pills too, but I miss this countrys in the list!?

US Availability[edit]

The article asserts that Plan B is available to adult Women upon demand and to minor girls with a prescription, but there is nothing to indicate a Male's ability to access. Does anyone know the Rules? 96.27.37.108 (talk) 00:50, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The FDA hasn't licensed it for use by males, who are incapable of using it as directed because they lack the requisite biological equipment. --TS 02:28, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Is there a citation to the US Code or the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) I could reference? Also, the same logic would seem to apply to other forms of birth control, such as condoms, freely available to both males or females. What about birth control pills, etc.? 96.27.37.108 (talk) 03:15, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sexuality?[edit]

I count contraception as being a medical topic, thusly I am puzzled by it's categorisation with sexuality topics.Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:38, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Do you understand what contraceptives are for? Trivialist (talk) 03:12, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"Import Only vs No" and other nuances[edit]

I think the interest of most readers is in regards to legality rather than just sheer availability. It should also be noted that in many cases of "not available" where there's a lack of economic conditions, imports are still probably available for those with enough economic resources. Hell, in several countries marked as "Yes", economic barriers might still occur for the population, especially outside of urban centers. Now, don't get me wrong, I know we must base ourselves and different ones will textually frame things in different ways, but I do think in the interest of a neutral POV we should strive for as much internal consistency as possible. 181.115.61.24 (talk) 03:42, 5 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
