Emily Jenness ?[edit]

I talk to Jenness and she says she's not this woman plus she and this woman are different sure they may sound a like but on Bauer's website she has nothing about voicing Dawn on Pokemon Matthew Cantrell (talk) 13:48, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The IMDb profile of Emily Bauer mentions Pokémon, but not Jenness. tv.com is being completely contradictory, mentioning Pokémon, along with her also being known as "Emily Jenness", but still concluding:
"Emily Bauer is often confused with another Emily Jenness, a fellow New York voice actor who works on the Pokemon series as the voice of Dawn and Cynthia.
This is because she is married to New York theater actor and musician Sean Jenness."
If they really are two different people (and the misconception truly bothers her), it's rather odd she never even called the news about this. In 2007, someone in the Bulbapedia forums claimed a serebii.net member having a talk with her in MySpace and confirming she was indeed also known as Emily Bauer. However, the link didn't work even then. --Diblidabliduu (talk) 14:57, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
As I recall back then at tv.com, we were researching whether Emily Bauer and Emily Jenness were the same person, and whether she was using that as an alias for her character Dawn in Pokemon. One of the editors got a response from Emily saying they were two different people, it could have been that same bulbapedia forum. She has never put any of her pokemon credits on her official website. (Neither the response or related blogs can be used as a reliable source for wikipedia.)
Here's a 2012 article that affirms that Jenness is indeed part of her married name, although it is not her stage name. [1] and here's an article where she has confirmed she has voiced in Pokemon in some form. [2] There are several news articles that said she did voice in Pokemon but does not mention specific roles.
Hope that helps! -AngusWOOF (talk) 16:03, 19 April 2014 (UTC) updated 16:35, 19 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Her daughter's now notable enough for her own article. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 23:49, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
