A pretty picture, but...[edit]
Well, that's lovely, but not exactly true: describes what happens during arousal from sleep
More likely the brain is so busy (during sleep) that it has to put the rest of the body off-line one third of the time in order to get all its work done. :) --Hordaland (talk) 21:50, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
- You have a point. I've added a footnote in hopes of not misleading anybody. Looie496 (talk) 22:29, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
- Nicely done, thanks. I'm sure that not everyone is aware of the great strides in sleep (and brain) research the last 5-6 decades. I spent summer vacation writing Sleep medicine (now at Peer review) and would like to tackle (history of) Sleep research some day, though I'm probably in over my head. Perhaps I can call on you for help after your present big project winds down? --Hordaland (talk) 10:14, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
