(protocol violation)[edit]

Some clarification on the Star Trek quote would be appreciated, as out of context it makes little sense. 166.66.39.90 (talk) 14:50, 4 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Naval maneuver[edit]

Having run across the term in the context of a ship that we credit with an end run on the way to Inchon in S. Korea early in the K'n war, i linked that article (USS Hornet, or one of the destroyers accompanying her in her beauty shot), to the accompanying article. Someone w/ a stronger interest can decdide whether to add coverage of the chain-of-command-violation (preceding talk sec'n) and the surprise-attack senses, or make a jump raise to disabiguation.
