Untitled[edit]

Evaluation North America: There was one part that i do not agree: when author says that Electrical Engineering is a required Common engineering course. Electrical engineering is not core course for Civil Engineering. Small part of electricity is introduced in second part of Physic course, but it does not go farther than that. Also link for Reference # 15 does not work. Mci2014 (talk) 20:24, 5 February 2018 (UTC) otherwise very informative article[reply]

Notes[edit]

I have made some slight changes to this page to shift the focus somewhat from engineering education at school to include the continuum from school to university, where the real action is, as reflected by the ASEE and other professional bodies. Roger Hadgraft, University of Melbourne

I have reintroduced these changes. Engineering education is much more than what happens at school. Roger Hadgraft, University of Melbourne —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hadgraft (talkcontribs) 11:25, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orissa has 1000 collages, It seems to be wrong... I have changed it to 100 as 100 is more realistic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.249.189.74 (talkcontribs) 06:58, 11 December 2012‎ (UTC)[reply]

Is the internship and licensure exam a part of Engineering education?[edit]

When does an engineering education formally completed? Is internship part of engineering education?
The article medical education includes residency as part of the education process to become a doctor. Why would the internship required in most jurisdictions prior to engineering licensure not be included in the education article? Why wouldn't the exam you take at completion of the internship be described as the last step in the process? If you fail the exam, you don't "graduate" and get to practice engineering. This is much the same as a "final exam" to pass a course. - ¢Spender1983 (talk) 02:02, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Canada section[edit]

I've made some changes to this section, and am considering replacing the unnecessarily long list of universities in this section with a link to the Engineers Canada official (full, i believe) list of universities and programs. These are also among my first edits as a contributor on Wikipedia, so if I'm out of line let me know. I'm also a recent graduate of a CEAB accredited university in Canada, so I'm not sure if this falls under WP:CONFLICT or not. Iridium191 (talk) 00:50, 24 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Search[edit]

When we search for or created an article for Engineering studies", we are forwarded to Engineering Education. However Engineering studies is a specific research field regarding the study of engineers and their activities. How to avoid this redirection on Engineering education? — Preceding unsigned comment added by PinsonV (talkcontribs) 13:44, 7 February 2015‎ (UTC)[reply]

Please put new talk page messages at the bottom of talk pages and sign your messages with four tildes (~~~~). Thanks.

North American Section[edit]

The Mexico section is particular not clear. Rather focusing on the engineering education, the section is talking about the 20th Century Mexican revolution? There must be something about Mexican STEM program -- GjiangWiki (talk) 21:09, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Also, the section has tons of grammatical errors that make it difficult to read in the first place.19CT87 (talk) 07:51, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

UK Section[edit]

Note the Scotish educational system is completely different from the English/Wesh/N. Irish system. The UK Section should be changed to reflect this. Blacksaltire (talk) 18:45, 1 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Mexico Professional Engineer Licensure Requirements and Continuing Education[edit]

The section of this article dealing with Mexico's engineering education fails to address the requirements in place for an individual wishing to practice as an engineer. Moreover, it does not address the Continuing Education requirement to retain licensure (if there is any at all) as the sections on Canada and the United States do. To help readers learn about the state of engineering and its accreditation policies in Mexico, perhaps more can be written about the above.

US Top 50 image[edit]

The "United States" section has an image showing the "Top 50" engineering colleges... according to whom (the image uploader, perhaps)? And as of when? Is that original research? -- HLachman (talk) 10:27, 18 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Australia seems to be missing[edit]

I couldn't find any mention of Australian Engineering education here. 2001:44B8:287:7400:E4E3:83FA:CA21:A74B (talk) 02:24, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
