Sorry, my mistake... :([edit]

Sorry, folks: I was trying to rename to Ennistymon (the more common spelling IMHO) and I've ended up with "Ennystimon" through typing too fast... I've requested admin help to sort it out. Gabh mo leithscéal! -- Picapica 22:39, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I believe it's fixed now. Cheers. -GTBacchus(talk) 23:02, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Memorial: sources?[edit]

In the part about the An Gortha Mór Memorial is stated The account centered on a note that was pinned to the torn shirt of a barefoot orphan boy who was left at the workhouse door on the freezing cold morning of February 25, 1848. The note read: The text of the note is found in the mentioned source, the minutes of the Meeting of the Board of Guardians. But does anyone have sources for the following facts?

  • the boy was wearing a torn shirt
  • the boy was barefoot
  • he was left on a freezing cold morning
  • this was actually February 25, 1848. The note in the minutes was made on this date, but was this note received that actual morning?

On the Dutch talkpage there are questions about this line, as all sources found seem to be from a later date than in the English Wikipedia (May 15, 2007. This makes it not unreasonable to suppose (but not firm enough to conclude!) these are based on the Wikipedia article. Older sources for the aforementioned facts are appreciated.

If no sources can be found, does that line adhere to the requirements on this Wikipedia?
