Occoneechee Mountain State Natural Area[edit]

Is Occoneechee Mountain State Natural Area indeed located within Eno State Park? Zanter 19:21, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • After looking at the maps I think you might be right, I think I misread Enoriver.org, I'll remove the Occoneechee Mountain State section --Mr.crabby ''''' (Talk) 19:26, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • Ok, yeah.... because when I had visited Occoneechee before, I remember it being quite a ways down the highway from Eno. I like all the updates you've been making to the Eno page though! It's a nicely large size now! Zanter 23:51, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
      • Thanks, I'm still trying to find more information, but eventually my goal is for it to be a good article, although I do realize I'm quite a ways away. --Mr.crabby ''''' (Talk) 01:39, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Occoneechee Speedway inclusion[edit]

Though Occoneechee Speedway is discussed @ enoriver.org is not part of Eno River State Park. It is wholly owned and preserved by Dick Jenrette's Classical American Homes Preservation Trust Dexmadden (talk) 19:24, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Points of interest?[edit]

Why does the points of interest section focus on areas that are NOT a part of the park? The Occoneechee Speedway, West Point on the Eno, and West Point Mill are neither owned nor managed by the State Parks System. While these areas are of note and certainly worth mention in a see also section, they are not Eno River State Park attractions. The way this article includes these areas implies that they are part of the State Park. Unless there is a compelling reason to keep these areas under point of interest, I propose removing them and placing links under a see also section. –Sparkgap (talk) 20:07, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have removed the Points of Interest section since these areas are, as noted, not a part of the park. I moved West Point on the Eno to the See Also section, but I have omitted the other links as in my opinion they are not strongly related to this article.
