Contested deletion[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because the group enra has a noted history, recognized in multiple sources of international media. Some information on the page may need stylistic or formatting work, but it is unreasonable to suggest that the entire page should be deleted.

The page is also essentially an exact translation of the original Japanese page, which is not marked for deletion. Any stylistic issues are not a matter for total "speedy deletion."

Moreover, the Wikipedia guidelines say thus about "Unambiguous advertising or promotion":

  • This applies to pages that are exclusively promotional and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to become encyclopedic. If a subject is notable and the content could plausibly be replaced with text that complies with neutral point of view, this is preferable to deletion. Note: Any article that describes its subject from a neutral point of view does not qualify for this criterion.

As the information is factual, it does not make sense to tag the article for deletion. Kerfuffle8 (talk) 16:14, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the speedy deletion tag and inserted cleanup tags. In the future, it may help avoid confusion to post on the talk page that an article is a translation from a non-English Wikipedia. TimothyJosephWood 16:46, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Copy edit tag noted. In place of the "rough translation" tag, which suggests it is written in ungrammatical or otherwise problematic English, I have added translation tags to the talk page and article. Kerfuffle8 (talk) 00:50, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
