Climate
  • Average yearly rainfall
  • Average temperature
  • Highest wind gust (if it wasn't Hazel)
  • I emailed the National Weather Service to see what the highest winds in the city were. I wouldn't be surprised if some skyscraper recorded some crazy high wind gust, but a quick Google search doesn't have that. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 22:56, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Urban heat island
  • Sea level rise/long term flooding mitigation
  • Sunlight hours per year, or some other solar metric that would help for people looking up info for solar panels
  • Better source for wettest day being in 1882, ideally National Weather Service or someone better than a news source just getting their info from somewhere else
  • How many tornadoes on record in the city? Surely there's a better total than going back to 1974.
  • The strongest NYC tornado was an EF2 tornado in Brooklyn on August 8, 2007. I'm having difficulty getting a source saying it was the strongest on record in the city (if it even was). ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 22:56, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Discussion
  • The pic for the section is the flooded subway station from Sandy. There might be a better weather photo, but I felt it was a good placeholder. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 22:56, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Environment
  • Deadliest smog events - 1953? 1963? 1966? Mention all three?
  • Mitigation toward cleaning smog
