Disagree. Environmental politics is a subfield within political science, while political ecology is an interdisciplinary approach looking at politicized interrelations between states (governments) and local biophysical environments. After decades of scholarship, both are well established in their own right. While it would be appropriate to cross-reference the two entries, merging them would be a disservice to those seeking to understand the respective areas of inquiry.
