State articles[edit]

Is it necessary to have a separate article for each state affiliate? It seems to me like the article would be better if all or most of the states with nothing much to say about them were just discussed here - indeed, that could replace some of the primary-sourced content here. –Roscelese (talkcontribs) 03:58, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The state organizations are separate entities. It would not make sense to house them here given this is an association and they are not chapters or legally a part of this nonprofit. Most of the member organizations are in multiple coalitions of this nature, so deciding which one houses their information could get complicated over time. I think a better solution would be to work on expanding the articles of the member organizations rather than consolidate them into this one federation page. There are many additional sources available, so that specific problem can be solved by other methods. Essentially, it just requires more time being committed to these articles, and I fear consolidating would discourage rather than encourage that expansion of information. --Varnent (talk)(COI) 05:06, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

State affiliates[edit]

Hi, I'm working on a project related to the South Carolina LGBTQ community. I was searching for South Carolina Equality, and found it under its former name (South Carolina Equality Coalition) here on this page. South Carolina Equality is not currently listed in Equality Federation's list of members on their website, so I'm planning to remove it from this page and remove the redirect of South Carolina Equality Coalition to this page. Let me know if you have concerns. Lgbtqlowcountry (talk) 17:27, 19 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed South Carolina Equality Coalition from the list of members. It now redirects to its own page at its current name, SC Equality. In my research I could find no evidence of it ever being a member of Equality Federation, so I did not add it to the former members section.Lgbtqlowcountry (talk) 18:58, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Updating Executive Director[edit]

  • The listed Executive Director should be updated. The organization also has a more current logo that may be used if desired.
  • Rebecca Isaacs is no longer the Executive Director.
  • The up-to-date information may be found on the organization's website.

Partly done, with extra citations. I am going to refraim from changing the image for now, as im not confident over the fair use rules on wikipedia, but im not against the idea. If i can get some more information on the subject, i will attempt to update that too. For the meantime, ill keep the request as considered open. Aidan9382 (talk) 18:48, 28 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, @Aidan9382! Thatbox (talk) 21:34, 28 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Thatbox, please review our Image Use Policy, and determine if it is possible (permissible) to upload an image either at Wikipedia, or at Commons. It is only technically possible to add images already on Wikimedia servers. Happy Editing--IAmChaos 07:17, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
User:Thatbox - Ping as without a response I will close the tag as  Partly done: for now. Happy Editing--IAmChaos 17:43, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much, @IAmChaos. I'm sorry for the lack of timely response. I fretted for a while about COI protocol regarding image uploading, and ultimately figured it was simplest to just replace the existing logo myself. If this was inappropriate I apologize!
