Big chunks of the article closely follow this, probably too closely. I did some re-writing but more is required and other sources should be brought in as well Elinruby (talk) 19:24, 19 November 2017 (UTC)

President?

The president is listed as someone named Daisy Duda, who has no Wikipedia page and no Google results. The vice president's page lists this man as president: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teodoro_Obiang_Nguema_Mbasogo

Presidential system vs semi-presidential system

I've noticed that the Constitution of Equatorial Guinea specifically says that the Prime Minister is head of government, but is appointed by the President. The President is popularly elected and has significant powers (e.g. can dissolve the legislature, commands the military, can provide clemency, can veto legislation, etc.), and hence Equatorial Guinea's system sounds like a semi-presidential system, specifically of the premier-presidential variety as the President does not seem to be able to dismiss the Prime Minister. One party state

I think we need to describe the country as a one party state as a “dominant party” assumes there is still some opposition. In this country there is only one seat in parliament occupied by an opposing party so it can be fair to call it one party. BakedGoods357 (talk) 19:17, 29 June 2021 (UTC)

Source for the GDP per capital of 7100$

Where’s the source for the capital 7100$ coz the new IMF releases clearly states it’s around 10,000$ plz revert back Nlivataye (talk) 07:23, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
