Lead[edit]

  • Can you expand a bit on his pitching style in the lead? It just seems a bit short. Maybe add a fact about his fastball from the pitching style section? So it would look like: Surkamp batted and threw left-handed with his fastball averaging 89 miles per hour.
  • Can you WL Bachelor of Science?

Amateur career[edit]

  • I feel this is a bit of a weird title since it discusses his birthday and who he admired growing up. Could this be retitled "Early life and amateur career" or is that too long?
  • Who are his parents?
    • I couldn't find any info about them, even in the high school articles or the MLB bio, both places you'd think would include it. Sorry! Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 00:06, 22 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • He helped his high school win a state baseball title in 2004 [1]
    • Wording might be a little funny, but that's mentioned (with that article) at end of 1st paragraph. Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 23:54, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Here are some newspaper articles about his HS career. It can definitely get expanded:
  • Please add (NC State) when the school is first mentioned as you use that short form in the personal life section.

Professional career[edit]

  • Please wikilink Jon Weisman
  • Are there any articles stating his retirement date and reason?
    • Not that I can find. This is easy with high-profile players but can be difficult with guys like him. Sanfranciscogiants17 (talk) 23:52, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sanfranciscogiants17, thank you for your patience. I believe this is all for now. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 17:27, 20 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
