Regarding notability: note that Eiffel has achieved notability in more than one way, having achieved sporting excellence at a national level, being the subject of extensive worldwide media coverage, including being interviewed for U.S. national television, and founding a notable organization. -- Karada (talk) 09:35, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

better picture[edit]

Surely you can find a better picture of her?--68.186.160.22 (talk) 20:47, 25 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"relationship with the Berlin Wall"[edit]

I don't believe "relationship" is an appropriate term to describe the attraction to an inanimate object. It may be from her POV, but not from an objective one. --Kraligor (talk) 20:58, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Her point of view IS objective. Feelings may not be very well understood yet by science, but they still matter, and there doesn't have to be a dichotomy between "feelings and fact." Subjective experiences count objectively. 71.181.240.45 (talk) 18:10, 8 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Points of view are literally the definition of "subjective", not objective. --Jorm (talk) 17:26, 9 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Spouse"[edit]

Is she truly married to the Eiffel Tower? Should we list it as her spouse? --WikiEditor1o2oi3i (talk) 17:23, 9 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No, she isn't, and we aren't.--Jorm (talk) 17:25, 9 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That's just your opinion, please support it with Wikipedia policies--WikiEditor1o2oi3i (talk) 17:45, 9 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It's actually not my "opinion"; it's a fact; and the onus of proof is the other way around.--Jorm (talk) 17:50, 9 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
How about, as a compromise, we list her spouse as the Eiffel Tower but add a footnote stating that the official status of the marriage is unknown or that it's just plainly not official.--WikiEditor1o2oi3i (talk) 17:59, 9 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
No. There is no compromise here. The article lays out that she believes this and that is sufficient. Without a reliable source saying that she is actually "married" to the Eiffel Tower, then it's not going into the infobox.--Jorm (talk) 19:01, 9 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Did the Eiffel Tower give its consent to this marriage, or is it at all possible that it is being forced into a relationship it wants no part of? If there's no definitive answer, it would seem an unfair label being thrust upon it. -2pou (talk) 00:21, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
