Declined speedy[edit]

@217IP:, I'm declining this one as well as the other. The article asserts that Edwards was an integral part of Motown, which is also asserted in this Billboard article, which calls her the "Mother of Motown". There are also a number of newspapers that commented upon her death and not just in a routine obituary. Some of them might be labeled "obituary" but the general rule of thumb is to look to see if it was written by a staff member. For example, this LA Times article was written by a staff member, which makes it more of an article than just a routine obituary. Personal viewpoint[edit]

I met Mrs. Edwards shortly after the Motown Museum opened when recording moved to Los Angeles. I was there to see how the museum was coming along. I have to say that she was a very gracious host. She was also very informative as she stuck with us (me & my buddy) for an orientation tour. I grew up in the Detroit area, and graduated from High School, Undergraduate & Graduate University in Detroit. I grew up with Motown Music, and I still learned a lot because of Mrs. Edwards.
