Intro[edit]

This article needs intro to explain the table and the concept. Suva 21:13, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Such a table needs explanations for lunatics only. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.50.38.184 (talk) 17:48, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It might be helpful with examples of the borrowed words. 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 15:08, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Needs cleanup[edit]

Lots of highly dubious info here. In particular, I have no idea where the first "PIE loans" section is pulled from. Standard sources such as Eesti etümoloogiasõnaraamat treat most of the words as being only found within Finnic.

Numerous individual words may require adjustment too. I wonder how sourcing should be dealt with, trying to source every individual etymology would be overkill. --Trɔpʏliʊmblah 16:35, 25 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Coordination with other languages[edit]

Similar articles could also be written on e.g. Finnish; but in such a case, coordination between the two articles would become difficult. Perhaps the tables for old words could be coordinated into a subpage of an article like "Uralic vocabulary", and copied here by inclusion? --Trɔpʏliʊmblah 19:18, 25 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
