Recurring Character?[edit]

Actually, the final episode of the series is the ONLY episode in which I remember Twombly appearing. There had been a similar character in the early 40's, named Virgil Rhymer (played by Frank Nelson). And in 1940-1941, there had been an unnamed "Sound Man" on the Burns & Allen Show, whose schtick was that he was Harvard educated, and bitterly resented having to do such a menial job, even though he was a lot better off financially than all the others in his class, who had become scientists.
