FECRIS has been granted Consultative Status (recently called Participatory Status) with the Council of Europe.

The Hon. Thomas Geoffrey Sackville, former United Kingdom Home Office Minister, is the current president (as of May 2009). Previously, the Austrian Friedrich Griess had been President for four years.

Missing controversies[edit]
