Better pic?[edit]

Like many really hot actresses, Eva has a very poor pic. Can anyone find a good, legal-to-use, pic to replace the one we have?

Birthdate[edit]

Eva Mendes graduated from Herbert Hoover High School (Glendale) in 1992. She's 32, not 28. IMDb is right about this one, and they are not the only ones who say 1974, also look at MSN movies.

IMDB allows entries to be edited by visitors to the site, just like Wikipedia. I've see incorrect birthdates for dozens of people on that site, stick to sites that updated by people with agendas. If she graduated from Hoover in '92, there would be a yearbook photo of her floating around like any celebrity has. But there isn't one, until then, it stays where it is.

According to privateeye.com, it says Eva Mendez (apparently her real last name spelling) was born on March 5, 1974.

Ridiculous[edit]

Contrary to 65.0.116.110's edit summaries, I have NOT been vandalising the article, or going over the three revert rule limit. (Apparently, this user considers adding any sourced statement that she isn't in her 20's anymore "vandalism".) My first two reverts were reversing this user's vandalism, which is says under Wikipedia:Three-revert rule are not counted under the rule.

  • Revert 1 - Reverting 68.159.22.76's vandalism. (added "And Wants to be wedded to Evan Cologie")
  • Revert 2 - same

Cuban-American actress?[edit]

Recently there was a slight change in the opening paragraph. Mendes, formerly an American actress, is now a Cuban-American actress. This seems to be not in accordance with WP:MOSBIO, as the opening paragraph should mention a person's nationality, not his ethnic background. WP:MOSBIO states: Ethnicity should generally not be emphasized in the opening unless it is relevant to the subject's notability. It can be discussed whether Mendes' ethnicity may be relevant to her notability and therefore be mentioned. Anyway, WP:MOSBIO does not state that nationality should or could be replaced by ethnicity. Plastic surgery reference[edit]

The current reference (added August 21 2008, to http://www.peoplestar.co.uk/index.html?news=208 is not very authoritative, with only this anecdote about surgery: The 34-year-old knows that she will not look this great in the far future and is open to getting surgery done if she needs to. Speaking to a magazine, she said: "When the time comes, I'm going to nip it and tuck it all."

There are many references (mostly from August 2008 publications and web sites) to Star Magazine as the source of this quote, but Starmagazine.com searches don't yield that story. Does anyone have a primary source for this, or should it be omitted?

Also, the phrasing in the article is odd: Eva Mendes says in August 21 she will not hesitate to get plastic surgery done when her perfect figure starts to sag. [12]

There have been revisions in the past couple of days that cite Mendes as an outspoken supporter of presidential nominee John McCain. Nudity[edit]

Someone is certainly interested in Mendes' body. Three mentions of her nude appearances (including the very specific, "she is seen rolling nude in a bed, exposing her right breast and nipple") for an actress who apparently (as implied by the article) doesn't take her clothes off very often for the camera. Fast Five is the official title for Fast & Furious 5, a series of which Eva Mendes has been a part for a while now. She is accredited as being cast in the movie, where she plays Monica Fuentes.
