GA Reassessment[edit]

Many invalid sources on the page, there are also some leading to fan-sites. But also, the "See below" link in the genre infobox. I am pretty sure that this has not happened before and I am sure I am not the only one that thinks it is a very, very bad idea. As the result of adding that link, the style section says absolutely nothing about the style, but only talks about every single genre the band has ever been called. It would be really nice if we could achieve some sort of agreement upon this. Other Evanescence related articles state Alternative Metal as a genre, so why not use it in infobox, shorten the text about genres and actually add something about band's style itself? Also, there is really no need for having a whole sub-section about Christian controversy. That and many other unnecessary text just make the article look bigger while in fact there is very little important facts in it. I am surprised that this article passed GA criteria the first time. — Gahonzu (talk) 15:02, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed with everything you said. I would also mention that the article itself doesn't show all the necessary facts. And yes, a separate section for Christian controversy is completely superfluous. I am definitively voting for delisting this article until some things are fixed. Regards... — NikFreak (talk) 19:52, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
