This is the English wikipedia. I advocate using the English name again. No reason has been given for the recent moves which were all done by the same user. The German name is never ever used in English language texts. --Mk4711 (talk) 22:21, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

History[edit]

"Since 1809, the Palatine Reformed and Lutheran congregations were subordinate to the Protestant church administration of the Kingdom of Bavaria, of which the then Governorate of the Palatinate formed a part".

In 1809 the Palatinate was still under French rule. It only became Bavarian after a short transitional period of a joint Austrian-Bavarian administration in 1816.
