Request to delete page following the scrapping[edit]

I am writing to whoever made this to delete the page as the DJ announced on socials that the album is not going ahead as planned following several delays this year. i am a fan of sigala and it breaks my heart to learn about the album's scrapping, i have been looking forward to it for months. Regular editors do not have the power to delete articles they have made. That being said, I don't believe this would be deleted at WP:AFD anyway, as the first part charted in multiple countries and received a certification in Hungary, making it notable. Ss112 08:24, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite following scrapping[edit]

Stating here for the record that I've rewritten the lead to moreso focus on what was released—the first part in March 2023, titled Every Cloud – Silver Linings—rather than focus on the ultimately scrapped album. Having "unreleased" in the infobox (which may cause an error with Template:Infobox album wanting a numerical year value in the released= parameter) when the first part was actually already released on its own seems a bit odd to me. It also appears (an) editor(s) had altered Sigala discography to call Silver Linings a "compilation", presumably because it only contains the songs that had been released as singles up until that point (the full album was to contain an additional 9 songs that were ultimately not even revealed, for a total of 20 tracks). Deciding in the absence of any sources stating so that that makes it a "compilation" is strange as none of those singles had appeared on an album before, so I've reverted that change. If there are any disagreements about my rewrite, that's fair, but I've changed the focus as the first part charted in multiple countries (the UK, Ireland, and Lithuania) and was even certified in Hungary later in the year, to save any further editors from trying to PROD (as an IP editor did) or nominate it at AfD. I am not trying to rewrite recent history by stating that Silver Linings was the full album—I've made it clear it was not all of what was intended—but on its own it definitely still is the length of an album.
