Official videos only[edit]

There are numerous unofficial videos appearing on YouTube, Facebook and what have you that are not listed on everysecondcounts.eu. Any random guy with a computer can make one, but this contest is between satirical late-night talkshows. I'm going to delete all of them until they are listed on the official websites. Unless there is significant mainstream media coverage of unofficial ones (which we may still list separately), fancruft will not be allowed on Wikipedia. Thank you. Official videos only - but then, not really?[edit]

I understand why you do not include "inofficial" videos in your list (even if some of them really ARE funny...). But then, it seems as if there are several videos that are acknowledged by everysecondcounts.eu, but are not made by late night shows (e.g. Morocco, Slovakia, Malta, etc.). I wonder where the line is drawn between "acceptable" and "second rank" videos - and I think the list could well be extended by the "inofficial" videos. You could add an additional column to the table and starr the "official videos"... Timo Niedermeyer (talk) 19:42, 16 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"Official" video acknowledges "Unofficial" videos[edit]

It should be noted that the "Official" video by India (i.e. the video linked from everysecondcounts.eu) acknowledges three videos that are not listed on everysecondcounts.eu. At 15 seconds into the India video, there is a an image of 12 stills, with at least 3 of the stills (or 25% of the images) being from videos that not listed at everysecondcounts.eu. The 3 videos are:

Hence, it seems that while being listed at everysecondcounts.eu has some indication of notability, the website is not authoritative on the subject. While it's true that anybody can produce such a video, the reality is that to produce such a video requires some technical and artistic skills that form a barrier. This is why we don't see the existence of millions of such videos, but rather in the low hundreds. Banana Republic (talk) 22:49, 11 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Entries not listed in article[edit]

Given that there is no easily identifiable authority that we can use to decide what to list and what not to list, perhaps the next best thing is to list here any entry that purports to be an Every Second Counts video parody, but for whatever reason we do not feel should be listed.
