Suggested Edit[edit]

This article on EO11246 states "Eisenhower's Executive Order has been amended and updated by at least six subsequent Executive Orders.[2]"

The link for reference [2] discusses EX10479, which was amended twice and later revoked. A better link for reference [2] should be https://www.archives.gov/federal-register/executive-orders/1965.html which discusses EO11246 and confirms that it has been amended 7 times. Also, shouldn't this sentence read "Johnson's Executive Order has been amended..." given that EO11246 was issued by Lyndon B. Johnson and not by Eisenhower?

I did not want to make this edit in case I have misinterpreted the context of the article. I will likely re-visit this article later and make the correction if no one else has before then. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alphanode (talkcontribs) 23:09, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Do not discriminate - then discriminate.[edit]

So the Executive Order first says not to discriminate on the basis of race or sex - and then says that a company must discriminate on the basis of race and sex in order to ensure that more people from certain categories are employed. Totally contradictory.2A02:C7C:E085:8D00:7DBA:AFDC:2F1C:1955 (talk) 06:32, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
