Merge[edit]

Not this page, a weak link is good because of generic area. Links strongly to permanent way and rail track but not expansion joints.Geonx (talk) 10:10, 13 January 2013 (UTC) Suggesting merge of Breather switch into this page. Clearly the same subject, neither articles is particularily expansive. Some context wouldn't hurt.Sf5xeplus (talk) 02:01, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not a good idea. Peter Horn User talk 02:41, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Why?????? Breather switch (I didn't know they were called that somewhere) explains exactly what an expansion joint does as the one shown in the picture. --haraldmmueller 10:59, 1 September 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Haraldmmueller (talkcontribs)

Why are control joints at the beginning?[edit]

It is strange that an explanation starts with something that is not an expansion joint. It certainly throws you "off the track" ... I suggest moving this section to the very end. --haraldmmueller 10:56, 1 September 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Haraldmmueller (talkcontribs)
